Saute mushrooms and onions in butter for about 5 minutes. Toss together with the Wild Rice and balance of ingredients. Place in buttered 2 quart casserole and bake for 1 hour at 350°F.

This may be prepared the day before and baked just before serving. Serve as a side dish with pork, poultry or game.

½ lb (approx 3 cups)

mushrooms sliced

1 cup

old cheddar cheese, grated

1 - 19 oz.

Can whole tomatoes

½ cup

onions, diced
½ cup

butter

4 cups

cooked Wild Rice

1 tsp

salt

1 cup hot water
