Cook Canoe White’n Wild Rice blend according to instructions. As blend sits for 5 minutes, sauté onions and green peppers in pan with butter or margarine. Add mushrooms, pimentos and rice. Add broth and garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste. Simmer, covered, for 10 minutes or until liquid is absorbed as desired.

Ingredients

250 mL (1 cup) Canoe White'n Wild Rice Blend
  medium size green pepper, chopped
  medium size sweet red onion, peeled
125 mL (1 cup) mushroom stems and pieces
50 mL sliced pimentos
250 mL (1 cup) beef or chicken broth
30 mL (2 tbsp) butter or margarine
